E-Coating
Electrocoating is designed to provide superior corrosion protection with uniform coverage, even on hard to reach part surfaces. Vulcan Electro-Coating offers an all-spray 8-stage zinc phosphate (non-chrome seal) pretreatment operation producing a primer with outstanding salt spray corrosion protection, and a black cathodic epoxy single component electrocoating process. A superior performance coating results when electrocoating is used in conjunction with Vulcan’s powder topcoat capability.Vulcan Electro-Coating coats parts and products for a wide variety of markets: truck & bus, automotive, furniture, construction, ductile iron fittings, agricultural, and recreational vehicle manufacturers. Value added services are available, such as surface preparation and assembly.
Location
Our 100,000 square foot facility is on a 20-acre site in Columbiana, 30 miles southeast of Birmingham, AL. Located at 500 Highway 70, Vulcan Electro-Coating is 12 miles from I-65 and 24 miles from the intersection of I-65 and I-459, leading to I-20 and I-59. We are ideally located to service suppliers in the new "automotive corridor" formed by these Interstate highways.

Vulcan Electro-Coating has been in business since 1993 to serve electrocoating and powder coating markets in the Southeastern U.S. as well as the I-75/65 corridor to the north. VEC is part of the Vulcan Group, with its home office located in Bessemer, AL, and serving commercial and industrial coatings customers since 1952.
