About Us
The Vulcan Group is an industrial and commercial painting contractor located in Bessemer, AL. We use the most advanced technology to meet the coating needs of customers in the Birmingham area and around the Southeast. Our work spans a number of industries, including power generation, pulp and paper, mining, bridges, stadiums, locks and dams, tanks, pipe lining, automotive parts, and lawn and garden furniture.
Established in 1952 and incorporated as Vulcan Painters, Inc. in 1959, the company rapidly expanded geographically and in the range of its services. Vulcan Pipe and Steel was formed in 1983 to provide specialized services to the pipe industry, and Vulcan Electro-Coating was acquired in 1995. During those years we have coated almost every kind of commercial and industrial structure there is, and we can help you on your project.
We work throughout the Southeast and beyond, applying protective and decorative coatings in industrial and commercial settings. Combined with proper surface preparation, these coatings protect our customers' investment in infrastructure and equipment, both in maintenance and new construction contracts, as well as on manufactured products.
